If we were to pick a date to show up and feed kids breakfast this month, what would be good for your guys?
October 18 is the Better Life Bike Ride and I will be riding and/or helping---not a good day for me.
What do you think of the 25th?
Another idea---lots of people at Southwest have kids books that they might be willing to donate to a lending library at the apartments. Kids could check a couple of books out and then get a piece of candy/gum/sticker (??) for bringing them back.
Just throwing out some ideas to get the ball rolling. . .
Our 40 days life group discussed doing a project with other groups that might be interested. Feeding kids could be a good way to get it started. Better together is the theme of 40 Days of community so I hope that you will all talk to your life groups about possibly getting involved in a joint effort to touch the people at Country Garden apartments. This could help the interest in Country Garden to grow. When people get the chance to interact with the kids over there I think they will want to do more. Some of the people in your groups probably don't know anything about this ministry.
